What happens when you allow yourself a break during your busy day to scroll through animal memes? If you are an animal lover (if you aren't, why are you even here?…), then this allows so many positive things to happen in your day!

It's not just because you're scrolling through animal memes; it's also because you are allowing yourself to indulge in joy and laughter. Since you love animals, these specific memes are exactly what you need! If you don't get any break during your day, you're gonna lose it. There is a reason there are laws against working employees every hour of the day. We are only human! We need breaks. Heck, even animals need breaks. We're just trying to live, breathe, and survive. Animal memes can help you survive with laughter and wholesomeness. Not all jokes need to be dark and self-deprecating, no matter how bleak the news headlines get! You are allowed to stop answering annoying emails to look at a baby cow that makes you say "awww" and think "that's so me." You can anthropomorphize a little, as a treat.

Anthropomorphizing is when us humans give humanistic traits to non-human beings and things. For instance, a car guy might gender his car, give her a name, and explain how they just “know” each other. It's a car, bro… And yet, a dog mom will go as far as giving a voice to their dog and have full conversations with them in their heads, as if they were another human chatting with them. Sure, there are some issues around doing this; you don't want to anthropomorphize something that can hurt you. Do you really want to say you got your heart broken by the bee in your garden that stung you and made you realize you were allergic to bees? That can be dangerous!
That being said, I fully believe dogs and humans have some sort of emotional connection that is inexplicable. They truly do just know how we're feeling sometimes. Dog parents understand this! Once you form a strong connection with your dog, you are connected for life. Why am I bringing up anthropomorphizing?
Good question! I got a little sidetracked there…. Basically, what I am saying is that is a reason these memes speak to you in both laughter and joy. First of all, they're just silly little guys that make you giggle! All animals are capable of making us giggle. However, these memes also speak to us on an emotional level that we can connect with because we anthropomorphize, and I think that's beautiful.
Sorry, not sorry that I can find meaning and joy in a silly animal meme, Kyle! You find meaning in crypto, and I think that's the most fictional and sad thing to actually exist in society.

How many breaks do you take during your work week anyway? Probably not enough! I don't care if you only have a half-hour break; you deserve more time to appreciate yourself and being alive. That takes more than half an hour sometimes! You already took your break, and now you have to go back to work. But your mind wants to wander. So go wander around and let yourself wonder! You don't even need to leave your desk chair for that. You can just scroll through some healing, wholesome animal memes. You are allowed to connect with a silly animal on the internet. You are whimsical and empathetic; don't let the corporate grind steal that from you!
